Practical Purchase-Homegoods

Let’s face it, a lot of times you see something and NEED IT, even though it is not in your budget. Sometimes you buy it anyway and hide it in the trunk of your car and wait until your boyfriend/husband/partner goes to work to bring it in…….and if they notice, you pretend like you bought it sooo long ago. Other times you wait and buy a practical purchase…..one that may not be the greatest quality as the original, but is in your budget and serves it’s purpose. I always see those types of buys at Homegoods and thought I would share a few from the other day

It’s Spring Time…Let’s make vases!!!

Flowers are blooming, day’s are getting longer, the sun is brighter and wardrobe selections are much more fun! Goodbye winter jacket…Hello leather jacket and peep toes. I LOVE fresh flowers all around my house. I love them so much,I always said if I was rich I would hire someone just to make sure every room has fresh flowers in them at all times….Don’t judge me, it’s the one “diva” thing I would do! Soon I can pick flowers from outside instead of buying them and of course we need vases to put them in.

I am enamoured with the creations of Danish designer Tine Kjeldsen, creator of the brand Tine K Home, who does neutrals to perfection! She produces an electic mix of pieces influenced by different aspects of French, Scandonavian, Asian and Morrocan design. Everything she does is totally my cup of green tea. I want to live in her Spring/Summer 2012 catalogue…..or at least vacation there for a little.
